Union Design Process

Our STEM Strategic Plan challenges us to “Emphasize inquiry, project-based learning and performance tasks”.  To achieve this goal and provide a framework to guide all thinking, we developed a common design process.  This process was synthesized from numerous research-validated engineering and scientific processes.  The structure of our design process allows for planning, implementation, and revision of ideas as you set out to solve a problem.  It has common language that is easily interpreted from early childhood to post-secondary.  Our design process will be used and followed in meetings, collaboration, classroom lessons, and beyond.
